Valentine Piggies

I'm still under the Valentine project spell....played all weekend with my new Starving Artistamps! These are from the Valentine Doodle Factory line. They are just so quirky and fun! Can't get enough of them. These pigs are so stinkin cute! I have a thing for words, too, and love implementing them into the design and not just as a sentiment. I especially love the cursive writing stamp. I can invision so many uses with it. Well off to play some more....Take Care,

Birthday Horse
My daughter's going to a birthday slumber party tonight so of course, I needed a birthday card. She's a big time horse lover so I couldn't wait to use my favorite horse stamp! I actually used quite a bit of stamps on this baby. All from Starving Artistamps except the words. I screwed up the "birthday" but o well, not gonna redo it! Well just thought I'd share, gotta go get some house work done-yuck!

Love You Digipage
I am loving these digital kit tutorials over at Designer Digitals! I am learning so much! I'm a little obsessive lately about learning everything there is to know as far as digital scrapbooking. It's such a neat new addition to the "tool caddy"! I'm also almost done with my new blog site! Well, off to play....Take Care,

Valentine's Clear box

So whatcha think? Again, picked this up at Michael's with that stand from yesterday. It just called to me. It actually came with a box insert to place pictures on which is a whole other option- but if you know me by now, I like my clear stuff! I love seeing through to the other side, creating interesting layers. Of course it just makes you have to rethink adhering and you gotta cover it up. The box actually disassembles like a 2 piece puzzle-very cool, and you can't even see or tell where. The polka dot paper is from American Crafts and the definition paper is 7 gypsies. I used my cuttlebug again for the hearts, and painted the insides with red acrylic paint. Love the look of shabby brushstrokes. Besides using my Dymo and a few buttons, that's it! Fun, huh? We'll have to see how long i can play this moring, but I CAN'T let me daughter sleep as long as she did yesterday! She didn't go back down till midnight last night-yikes!Take Care,

Valentine's Coaster
I was shopping, lingering more like it, at Michael's the other day and came across these photo stands. I've seen them many times, like all of us, but that day, it popped in my head, how cute could that be holding a scrapbooked coaster!!! So I bought it, of course, and this is what I came up with this morning. My daughter is sleeping in big time (boy am I gonna regret it later) which has allowed me to finish a few projects! Yeah!!! I think it's kinda fun! I also broke out my neglected cuttlebug and die cut a coaster heart and polka dot paper-o how i love that it can cut out coasters!!! I also used my SU scraps from last year which had xoxoxo all over it, and used it as a tag. I then was on the hunt for some outlined small hearts to stamp along the edges and what did I find? SU's Loads of Love! I used the pile of hearts in that set to stamp along the edges of the photo. Subtle, but fab. I think I'm gonna make a few more and start on my other valentine project idea.....Take Care,
Val

February Calendar Page
Real quick, wanted to share my Feb Calendar page. Everything's SU. I used Polkadot BG, French Script BG and Priceless. Don't ya just love Basic Gray with Pomegranite? I stamped the French Script on acetate and placed it behind the photo frame. Again, love my acetate! Love this pix too of my daughters. It was such a fun day together at the park. Well gotta go finish the game!!!Take Care,
Val
